How to find a piece you’ll still like in ten years.

Most people arrive without a title in mind — they know the wall, the room, and roughly the feeling. The gallery is built for that. Filter the whole catalog by any of these, and combine them:

Pick more than one within a filter and you widen the net; pick across two filters and you narrow it. Colouris the one people underrate — if you’re matching a room rather than hunting a subject, start there and ignore everything else.

Or start from a collection

Collections are the curated route: a set of pieces grouped because they belong together, not because they share a tag. If you like one piece in a collection there is a good chance you like its neighbours, which is rarely true of a search result.

Every piece page shows the artwork three ways: the print itself, a close detail, and the piece hanging in a real room. That last one is a photograph, not a drawing, and the artwork is scaled into it true to inches— so a 24″ piece and a 40″ piece look as different there as they will on your wall. Size is the decision people regret, and a number in a dropdown is a bad way to make it.

The shape belongs to the artwork

We don’t crop a painting to fit a standard frame. A piece prints at its own proportions, so what you get is the work, not a version of it trimmed to suit our stock. Where a piece can also sit neatly on a standard size, we offer that too — but the artwork decides, not the frame.

There’s usually a story attached

Many pieces carry an About this piecetab beside the print specs — where it came from, when, and what was happening around it. It’s there because a picture you know something about is a different object on your wall than a picture you don’t.

Nothing here is warehoused. Your piece is printed when you order it, in our own studio — canvas and fine-art paper both. (Metal is the exception: those are made and shipped by our metal partner.) We print with latex inks, which cure into the material rather than sitting on top of it, so a canvas needs no glass and no lamination to survive normal life on a wall.

Ready to hang, or rolled for your own framer

Ready to hang is gallery-wrapped: stretched over 1.5-inch solid wood bars, wired, and ready for the wall the day it lands. Rolled in a tube is the same print, unstretched — for framing yourself, taking to your own framer, or travelling with.

What happens at the edges

On a ready-to-hang canvas the image wraps around those 1.5-inch sides, and you choose how they look:

• Mirrored — the default. The edge reflects the artwork, so nothing is lost from the front.
• Photo continues — the image carries around the sides, which means roughly 1.5 inches of it wraps out of view.
• A solid colour band — white, black, or a colour you pick, leaving the whole piece facing forward.

A curated gallery has a real limit, and it’s the point of one: if we put everything in it, it would stop being a recommendation.
